President Joseph Lambert, at the helm of Comprehensive
Computer Services, Inc. located in Camden County, New Jersey, offers
his clients up-to-date proficiency and a long history of hands-on computer
expertise. Lambert's subsidiary, Comprehensive Web Designs, LLC,
completes the package for all of his clients' needs.
Lambert joined the computer revolution in the spring of 1983 and
worked it from the ground up. With a Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple
University in Philadelphia, Joe dabbled in computers, first as a hobby.
"Twenty-three years ago, an IBM personal computer salesman
handed me a thick-bodied manual to read on my own," says Lambert, "with neither
phone tech support nor courses available."
Joe turned on his computer with a blinking cursor and had two
choices: Load on the Pong game or load on a floppy disk program of the
little understood Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet program.
"After burning the midnight oil for six months to master the DOS
and Lotus 1-2-3 operating system, my hours of study paid off," says Lambert.
"It enabled me to streamline my two restaurants' main operating costs of
inventory, labor and food control - by 15%."
